Highly recommend each of these for different purposes, largely around the notion of &#8220;design thinking&#8221; and &#8220;design culture&#8221; and getting non-design stakeholders (like PM&#8217;s, VP&#8217;s, Eng Directors, etc.) into the vibe of what design is about as a practice and profession. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>>> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Innovation-Companys-Toughest-Problems-Advantage\/dp\/0470482192\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1268497576&#038;sr=8-1\">Innovation X<\/a> by Adam Richardson : nicely practical articulation of &#8220;wicked problems&#8221;, proposing a methodology for tackling such problems, as opportunities for breakthrough competitive innovation<\/p>\n<p>>> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Designful-Company-culture-nonstop-innovation\/dp\/0321580060\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1268497627&#038;sr=1-1\">The Designful Company<\/a> by Marty Neumeier : compact nifty exploration of design culture, how to get &#8220;design mindfulness&#8221; into your company&#8217;s DNA at a strategic level, impacting people\/process\/attitudes\/behaviors, etc.<\/p>\n<p>>> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fine-Line-Strategies-Shaping-Business\/dp\/0470451025\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1268497576&#038;sr=8-2\">A Fine Line<\/a> by Hartmut Esslinger : a good easy read about the Frogdesign founder&#8217;s journey as a designer, filled with lots of anecdotes about the power of design, conveying just how difficult &#8220;good design&#8221; is to achieve, but with wonderful results if you stick through the journey.<\/p>\n<p>>> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Matter-Great-Design-People-Company\/dp\/0137142447\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1268497703&#038;sr=1-1\">Do You Matter?<\/a> by Robert Brunner : an inspiring read with great anecdotes and quotes about the value of design in product development, with examples from across the board: ikea, target, OXO, samsung, etc. <\/p>\n<p>>> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Inside-Steves-Expanded-Leander-Kahney\/dp\/1591842972\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&#038;s=books&#038;qid=1268497740&#038;sr=1-1\">Inside Steve&#8217;s Brain<\/a> by Leander Khaney : not your usual gossip book about Steve Jobs, this is a brilliantly compact look into the business strategy and tactics that underline Apple&#8217;s success.
